FTY.xyz / Process
Five stages move from a precise design problem to a tested identity system and organized production handoff.
Frame the decision
Define the audience, business and product context, launch objective, category conventions, required touchpoints, constraints, and approval roles. The result is a short brief that makes visual feedback more precise.
Find the premise
Develop contrasting typographic directions around letter structure, spacing, proportion, case, color, and one or two memorable interventions. Concepts are tested in basic context before they are presented as polished artifacts.
Connect the parts
Choose the strongest direction and build the primary wordmark, compact lockup, icon, color roles, type behavior, layout grammar, and recurring component treatments.
Break it on purpose
Place the system into mobile headers, browser tabs, social crops, long-form pages, presentation covers, dark mode, high contrast, and production exports. Weak rules are revised before the kit ships.
Make use obvious
Package approved assets, descriptive filenames, templates, implementation notes, and a concise guide. The handoff explains roles and reasons so teams can extend the identity without guessing.
Concept feedback stays connected to the brief and the environments where the work must function.
Can the name be read? Does the landing page explain the product? Is the primary action clear without animation or interpretation?
Is there one recognizable structural move or color relationship, or is the concept relying on generic “modern” styling?
Does it work in an icon, sticky header, article card, deck, monochrome document, and wide campaign field?
Are the files, names, roles, contrast rules, and responsive variants clear enough to use without repeated explanation?
Working principle
The presentation is not the product. The repeatable system is.
A focused wordmark and responsive logo family can establish the visual core before the system expands into product and campaign work.
